The Big Chile

Our overnight stay in Las Cruces at America's Best Value Inn:
The Big Chili Inn

We loved this very unique and eclectic hotel. The price was perfect and the owners were great!

It did have one huge Chili pepper on the premises.

All around the inside of the wall surrounding the Chili were hangings about all the different kinds of Chili peppers there are. The owner had done quite extensive research into chili's.

Their can had a detachable chili on the top of it which was cute.

Our key chain was even shaped like a chili
The bed was comfy. The linens were all from the 70's on purpose.

Steve, the owner had the TV on and the AC on when we got there which was nice

Nice large space to put our toiletries

The bathroom was clean and the shower was awesome!

The owner was originally from Australia

It would have been cool to see a real kangaroo!
There were all kinds of plants and flowers in the courtyard

It was like going to a botanical gardens

From Cactus to flowering trees it was beautiful

This Buddha was right outside our room.

The gazebo we could have used to cook out

Another view of the gazebo and the grill

The pool was nice for an evening swim

Plants were everywhere

Even on the fence there were flowers

I loved these little peacocks

The waterfall that flowed into the Koi pond
There were cat tails  hanging over the pond

Real lily pads and the Koi

The Koi

Here he planted two wisteria plants that covered his arbor. I have one wisteria that is absolutely huge in our back yard

There were a lot of bamboo trees that lined one section of the garden area
The Large Koi just as you walked into the garden area.

Our stay was very nice. We arrived late due to spending so much time at White Sands. So the owner told us of a great place to go have dinner at. It was a bistro, look that word up so that you know what it means.

It was St. Clair Winery and Bistro.
They had Yappy Hour
Aug 19 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Dog Treats, Door Prizes, Games & Much More! $5 Donation at the door. Proceeds benefit Dona Ana County Humane Society, Inc.  Which was very cool!

Grampa found a really good beer so we have to see if World Market carries it.
Driving back to the hotel to get a good night's sleep before heading home the next morning
